Pulp and Paper industry
The manufacture of paper pulp requires the introduction of additives, starch or glue which are easily handled by helical rotor pumps. The large quantity of water used in this procedure means that waste water has to be reprocessed: pumps are involved both in removing sludge from the treatment plant and in introducing additives.
